Yangon food

I miss yangon food! :(
anw here's a update of my trip to yangon and some of the food i've managed to snap photos of.
so here's a photo "feast" for all my friends.

My Myanmar trip Food track.

The road side stalls - commonly seen along the roads of yangon
many sells food that caters to the locals.
Monti!!! MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE!
Taste just like Cheese Pasta.
But NICER and Healthier!
Made of beans, and the meatballs are hand made!and this is another of my ALL TIME FAV!
The Indian Nan with Butter and various fillings.
I can eat this EVERYDAY! hahaha.
and ya..this is how greedy the few of us are! I just cant have enough of this!

The roadside stall that sells pig organs. One of the Eatery where we had our traditional Burmese Breakfast :)The locals likes to eat this for breakfast, taste like mee goreng with the chilliFresh hot crabs for sale!! Fresh from the sea behind the seller!

Oh and this!!! It's the MOST DELICOUS "salad" i've ever eaten! and its the MOST FANTASTIC one i've ever eaten!

Lizhen's aunt made it. I'll do anything just to eat this again!

At Bagan, traditional Indian shop that sells traditional Candies! The lamb soup that is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

I didnt even realize i was drinking mutton soup until they told me..

that was how good the chef was!and this is Toddy!

the incredibly interesting fruit. Hehe.

It taste alil sour before 12noon and has alcoholic content,

while if you drink the juice of the fruit after noon, it has a sweet tasting and it's even sweeter than sugar cane!

interesting isnt it?! :) the darker one is the one that taste sweet, while the other one is "alcoholic"The roadside stalls at Scott Market that sells traditional Burmese goodies..

*shivers* hehe. YAP! It's worms.

But this worm is a super clean one. it grows inside tree barks and it eats

nutrients from the barks, and drinks ONLY milk.

Er it taste crunchy outside..and milky inside..

I tried one. Brave :Dthey have many stalls along the path towards the temple selling those bites.

never try before though..and this eatery is one of my most unforgettable place!

we were dining together with housefliessssssssssss lah!

A gazillion and one of them flying around irritating you and snatching your food!

ARGH! and one even fell into our wine! hahahaand see...

Myanmar has very nice cafes!!! :) In Mandalay.
This cafe is built in a building of its own with 3 levels. one for cafe, two for restaurants

and check this out!

Dining at the Sky restaurant at one of the hotel. It has a great view of the whole city of Mandalay and they serve very delicious BBQ food! This is one of our chill out cafe in Yangon, Serves the best coffee jelly!

and their brownies with vanilla ice cream is yummylicious too! :)Lucky me, had a chance to attend a wedding lunch of aunty's friend.

They serve delicious cakes and pastries during the ceremony.
